Increase in errors by Pharmacists?
Gregory Abrams Davidson Solicitors have noticed an increase in cases arising as a result of mistakes by Pharmacists. These errors often result in patients being prescribed either the wrong medication or the wrong dose of medication. This can for example be for treatment related to heart problems, diabetes, anxiety or blood thinning.

AB was frail and elderly when he developed a blister on one of his toes which was not healing. He attended a walk-in-centre where it was noted that the foot was red and swollen and that AB walked slowly with a stick. Antibiotics were prescribed and it was arranged that District nurses attend AB at home to dress the foot. However, gangrene developed necessitating amputation of the toe.
