You're Hired! But are you Safe at Work?

Lord Sugar returned to our screens last night in typically bullish mood as he began another search for The Apprentice.   It is hoped that the lucky candidate can look forward to a successful career working in safe surroundings, but sadly that is not always the case for all of the estimated 200,000 apprentices currently training in the UK.

As employees, apprentices are afforded exactly the same health and safety protection as permanent and fully trained employees.

Employers should properly train apprentices from the very start of their training, both in terms of the tasks that they are expected to carry out, and in respect of health and safety generally. By providing proper inductions employers can ensure that their workplace is safe and hopefully accident free.

Gregory Abrams Davidson Solicitors specialise in Employer’s Liability Law and can advise you in respect of any type of accident at work.
