Jonathan has provided counsel to hedge funds, private equity funds, family offices, entrepreneurs, trustees, public and private companies and the directors and shareholders who manage and own them. Jonathan’s Business practice also covers Branding and Reputation matters and includes Intellectual Property (IP) and Media Law guidance, including IP disputes, music, television, film, online and mobile. He typically advises clients on both IP licensing and IP infringements, as well as commercial negotiations, covering the acquisition of rights, reputation management and defamation issues. Jonathan’s in-depth understanding of IT, Data and compliance issues have led to him being instructed by commercial clients to assist with cyber incident response and business continuity after a cyber hack or data breach. As both a UK solicitor and a US Attorney-at-Law, Jonathan’s US Law practice extends to Corporate and Commercial advice to clients in the finance, energy, entertainment, media and technology sectors. Jonathan has penned many Business Law and IP articles and opinions and has been quoted in the Financial Times, The Telegraph, Lexis Nexis publications, The Chamber of Commerce and the Jewish Chronicle amongst others.
