We are excited to tell you about a new service – the launch of a fixed-fee HR Scheme as we meet Neeta Laing, Head of Employment at GAD LLP Solicitors.

 

What is the GAD HR Scheme?

 

The scheme is a fantastic service providing employment law and HR Support at a fixed fee. Benefits of the scheme include:

  • An advice line – Direct contact with a specialist employment solicitor on HR and employment law matters
  • Ongoing advice and support – including drafting letters on employee issues and guidance on procedures
  • Documentation – contracts of employment, staff policies and procedures
  • Comprehensive insurance cover – indemnity against most awards of compensation and legal fees should one of your employees bring a claim against you.
  • Regular employment law updates
  • Fixed fee monthly – for better financial planning
  • A reduction in management time and effort – allowing you to focus on your business

GAD HR Scheme covers you for unnecessary costs. If a current or ex-employee were successful in their claim against your business, you would have to pay our compensation as well as legal costs. The average pay out in Employment Tribunals is around £8,000. Without protection, your business could therefore be faced with costs around £17,000.00.

 

How does the insurance work under the Scheme?

 

The *insurance is optional and subject to insurance terms but covers the cost of most awards of **compensation and legal fees up to £250,000 per claim and £1m per year.

 

So if an employee chooses to bring a claim we will defend you and your legal fees and any award should be met by the insurer.

 

The insurance policy also includes cover for the defence of a claim brought to you for Criminal Prosecution and your defence from actions arising out of the Data Protection Act.
