Lucy tells us in her own words why she decided to focus her career on property law and about her passion for helping her clients.

‘My interest in property began during my time at law school but I was sure to keep an open mind when I started my training contract at Gregory Abrams Davidson Solicitors, undertaking seats in the firm’s Personal Injury and Litigation teams, in addition to Property.

Although I enjoyed the vast majority of work throughout my training contract, property stood out as the work I enjoyed most, and where I wanted to return to continue my career. I really liked the tangible nature of property, that you can physically see the outcome of your work, and the sense of accomplishment seeing a file through to completion was always very satisfying. It was clear that property law came with its technically challenging hurdles, and no two transactions nor two days are ever the same, but that was something that really appealed to me. Most importantly though, I think everyone will agree, moving house is one of the most stressful times in our lives and I found there was genuine worth in simply helping relieve some of that stress by putting clients at ease and making the transaction proceed as smoothly as possible.

Over six years later and I am now thrilled to be heading up the property team in our Penny Lane branch and whilst the transactions I deal with are sometimes larger and more complex these days, my purpose hasn’t changed – by doing lots of worrying on behalf of my clients, I hope that the transactions become less stressful for them.’
