In July 2019, the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service suspended Mr Jeremy Parker, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Colchester Hospital and Oaks Hospital, after concerns were raised regarding the surgical procedures he had conducted. Mr Parker predominantly conducted hip and knee procedures and specific allegations have been raised about prosthetic knee and hip replacements. Mr Parker has since been permitted to practice again but only under supervision.
