Notice Regarding Legal Aid Agency Cyber Security Incident

We are aware of a serious cyber security incident involving the Legal Aid Agency (LAA), which may have affected individuals who applied for legal aid since 2010. The LAA has confirmed that the breach is more extensive than initially believed and that information relating to legal aid applicants may have been accessed.

 

Please note that although our firm has not acted in legal aid matters since early 2018, this incident could affect past clients.

 

We recommend the following precautionary measures:

  • Be alert to any unexpected or suspicious emails, phone calls, or messages.
  • If you have reused passwords—particularly those linked to any legal aid application—we strongly advise that you change them immediately.
