Civil Litigation Funding Reforms

Parliament will soon consider reforms of civil litigation funding and costs in England and Wales.

Under the new proposals, a proportion of the costs in bringing a case for personal injury will be taken from damages awarded to the injured person.

Cruise Ship Claims

With the increase in popularity of cruises it is unfortunate that passengers may be involved in an accident on their ship and suffer personal injury. Complications may arise due to the fact that the cruise ship may be foreign registered or that the accident may occur while the ship is outside territorial waters or in a foreign port.
