In an article from late 2019, The Health Foundation has set out where is believes the NHS is failing its patients most and the impact that this is having on patient safety. The following conclusions were reached in the article:
The reason for the decline could be attributed to the lack of funding available to the NHS. According to the Health Foundation, this decade has seen a much lower funding growth for the NHS and this coupled with work force shortages and a growing and ageing population means that the services offered and treatment provided is likely to be compromised.
